In the early hours of January 6, 2002, my mother, Alysha Krsangi Hanin, known to many as Krsangi Senk and to others as Yami Devi, is believed to have left the Shore Club hotel on Collins Avenue in Miami Beach. It is reported she was going to get something to eat. She never returned. Her passport, luggage, purse, identification and personal belongings were all left behind.
I was three years old. I am her son, and for most of my adult life I have been trying to understand what happened to her.
This website is the official home of my family’s search. It brings together information about my mother’s disappearance: who she was, where and when she was last known to have been seen, the official case numbers, and any significant developments in the investigation. When there is meaningful news to share, this is where it will appear first.
If you knew her, under any of her names, during any chapter of her life, I hope you’ll get in touch. A street name. A workplace. A friend of a friend. A photograph in a shoebox. The details people often dismiss as unimportant can be exactly what helps move an investigation forward.
