Still searchingFinding Alysha

The person, not the case number

Who she is

Alysha is a mother and a daughter. She has a son who has never stopped looking for her.

Alysha was born in India in 1977 and grew up within the Hare Krishna community, traveling for much of her life. To different people in different chapters she was Krsangi, Yami, or Alysha, the same person under many names.

Weeks before she disappeared, she left her young son in the care of her mother in New Zealand, saying she needed to tie up some loose ends in Miami.

That son is me. More than twenty years later, I am leading the search for her. She was called by many names; to me, she is simply my mum.

She was a very sweet, smart girl who got caught in a bad circle, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve justice.
